Jewelry - new and estate; eclectic gifts; furnishings, and furniture
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The business was founded by Dave and Goldie Sherman in downtown Newport News in 1945. It is stilled owned by their daughters today.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Large selection of one of a kind pieces offered at affordable prices; 6 month and 12 month layaway; unique gift items; experienced and knowledgeable staff; warm, friendly atmosphere; expert jewelry repair and design; and jewelry appraisals.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
one....no, we will not expand. We like the personal atmosphere that we can offer.
What type of payments do you accept?
All credit cards, checks, and of course, cash.
Which areas do you service?
Peninsula and surrounding areas.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Owned by the Sherman family.
What are your hours of operation?
Wednesday through Friday, 10 am until 6 pm...........extended hours in December
